Utilities: Group Your Teams Together For Better Communication

As the saying goes, “too many cooks spoil the broth”. In the energy and utilities sector, too many people being involved with the same thing can refer to several different scenarios.
The scenario we’re focusing on today is when a business has a two-way radio system in place but has all of their workers operating on the same channel(s). For example, operations are on channel 1, but so is maintenance and engineering.
The problem with this? Seriously congested radio channels then result in two-way communication becoming a battle of many trying to speak over one another – and often around subjects that don’t directly impact another team.

Dedicated group channels
The best way to ensure your operational efficiency isn’t impacted by poor two-way communication is by having set teams on set radio channels.
